Global Leadership Summit Report
August 5 and 6 has
found Bethel Church serving as one of about 150 churches around the world hosting the Willow Creek Association Global Leadership Summit. This two day event has allowed men and women from all over the region to receive a significant infusion of leadership principles, skill and inspiration that will then translate into their respective realms of influence, whether it is the church or the business community or the public square.
A diverse group of leaders, ranging from Hillsong Church's Christine Caine to TOMS Shoes Blake Mycoskie have empowered people to give thought to what it is to live on the edge of hope, where you seek to make a difference in people's lives not as a mere obligation but because of a burning passion to live fully and effectively. Renowned business thinkers like Jim Collins and Daniel Pink have fanned into flame the leaders' sense of purpose, and allowed leaders to focus on what it is to lead with excellence from the position of humility and other-centeredness.
And, of course, as always, the opportunity and invitation to worship Jesus Christ and follow Him "here" to "there" was clearly put forward as the number one priority in the life of any individual.
Special thanks for this two day leadership summit goes to Triumph Lutheran Brethren Church, Moorhead, Hope Lutheran, Fargo, Salem Evangelical Free Church, Fargo, Faith Evangelical Free Church, Grand Forks, Life 97.9 FM radio, and the Flag.
