Habitat for Humanity Women's Build

Thirteen ladies from Bethel volunteered at the Habitat for Humanity Women's Build in West Fargo on June 18th and 20th. Saturday brought beautiful weather and we began the day with insulating door and window frames and framing walls. By thHabitat Womens Build 1e end of the day all outer and inner walls were built and up and had sheeting! Monday the rain held off until windows were installed and the roof was shingled.

"I never would have thought I'd EVER be on the ROOF nailing shingles! It was great though, and the building supervisors that we had were so kind to us and really fun to work with." - Stephanie Haugen

"It felt good to do that for someone else." - Tanya Abraham

"For me, it was so neat to work side by side with some of these gals and get to know them better. It really felt good to work so hard and then see what all was accomplished at the end of the day." - Traela Kloster

Several of us also got to meet the precious family that will be receiving this home. The parents are actively involved in the build, and are so appreciative of the opportunity to have not just a house - but a home!
