Wild Wilderness Week

Wild Wilderness Week

Recently we returned from an amazing (short) week out at Lions Ridge in Bozeman, Montana. We took 22 great students who are going into junior high. At Lions Ridge we were able to be in the midst of God’s amazing creation; to experience the wilderness hands-on, and even see some wildlife on our adventures – how neat is that?! Some of our adventures included rock climbing a real mountain, white water rafting in the Gallatin River, hiking 6 miles through snow, and enjoying the Bozeman hot springs. We had the opportunity to sit out in peaceful silence and listen to God speak to us with mountains and forests as our backdrop, getting away from the hustle & bustle of our busy lives. We learned about some of the real heroes of the Bible, the ones we can look up to instead of the fictitious characters that are bombarding the theaters these days. All in all, I’d say we had a great time!

Thank you to all of you who were praying for us. We were safe under the guidance of Ryan Connelly (owner of Lions Ridge) and our four fearless leaders (Anne Davis, “French” Paul Pilch, Jordan Smith, and Brody Clarke).
