Devotional
Several years ago my wife and I thought we had found our forever home. It was on a beautiful acre lot complete with a giant back yard and thick timber for the kids (and dad😬) to explore. We set to work completely gutting the house and putting our personal touches on every square inch of the house. In every way we were planting our roots and our hearts deep where we were at. Then God called us to Fargo. He asked us to step away from everything that we had worked so hard for and trust Him. I remember vividly the moment I turned the key on our house and the tears that followed as I drove away. At that moment I was mourning our life that was and I was anxious and scared about what the future would hold. Maybe you find yourself today with those same emotions. It’s so hard to let go of control of the plans we had made and trust that God is in control. Ask God for the peace that transcends all understanding and for opportunities to point others to Him, as we trust He is guiding us through these dark times. Now that I am on the other side of the journey that He has brought my family on, I see clearly the work He is doing. My prayer for all of us is that we can trust His plans as we walk the path He has placed us on!
