Have you ever felt like you have failed God, or like He has given up on you?
Today’s scripture reminds us that God will never stop loving you. You cannot fail too much for God’s love. He never says enough is enough.
Maybe you have experienced a time in your life when you felt as though you had failed somebody so much they stopped loving you. Maybe you felt like you didn’t meet their expectations and they gave up on you. Have you ever felt the love of another slip away because it was based on a condition? Conditional love says I will love you if…
Can I remind you – God’s love is without condition? There is nothing we can do to become unable to receive it. Now that is true love! I can’t imagine the pain that some go through when someone who once claimed to love them looks them in the eyes and says, “I don’t love you anymore.” The pain of feeling loved at one time, but too much went wrong and suddenly you no longer deserve it! God is always saying to us, “I can’t stop loving you.”
Thank you, God, for loving us even when we don’t deserve it.
