Advent in Action is an opportunity for the Bethel Church family to give an additional gift this Christmas season to help feed hungry children.

We believe a gift like Advent in Action can be transformative in our community as a visible reminder of the generosity of God. Sacrificial and joyful giving demonstrates our Heavenly Father’s joy in giving His Son to the world in need of a savior.

 

Let’s Help Fund Two Million Meals for Children and Families in Need!

Feed My Starving Children LogoYour Advent in Action financial gifts will support the Fargo Feed My Starving Children Mobile Pack event, Jan 31-Feb 4. Together with the Fargo-Moorhead community, we will pack 2 million meals for children and families in need. These meals will be prayed for and shipped to some of the neediest places in the world.

  • $50 covers the expenses to deliver the meals you pack in Fargo to partners worldwide.
  • $365 provides an entire year of FMSC meals for a family of four.
  • $1,866 provides a pallet of FMSC food, enough for 7,776 meals!
  • $10,000 provides FMSC meals to feed a village!

We hope to raise more than $25,000 through Advent in Action to cover the supplies and shipping expenses for the meals we pack in February.

Each year, during the Mobile Pack event, children and parents discover a sense of purpose and meaning through serving to make meals that will end up in hungry tummies worldwide. This event reminds us that many today do not have access to the clean water and nutritious food we take for granted. Join us in giving our time, talent, and treasure together in Jesus’ name.

Building on a Legacy of Generosity

Over the last several years Advent in Action dollars were used to provide urgent resources for children in Fargo, water wells, a home for missionaries in Cavango, sanitation improvements, hurricane relief in Haiti, transportation needs in Mozambique and Nepal as well as EFCA crisis response work in Houston and support for Feed My Starving Children. All have proved to be tangible expressions of Christ’s love. We regularly receive updates from Master’s Heart, Awana, IFOSuD, EFCA Crisis Response, Feed My Starving Children, and others that our investments are providing opportunities to share the love of Jesus. These projects regularly remind people that God really does love their community.

 

Will what I give make a difference?

If we all give a little, it adds up to a LOT. Your gift of $40, $100, or $1,000 will go a long way toward providing meals for families around the world. If every adult at Bethel gave $50 we would quickly raise over $60,000!
