Fanning into Flame a Lifestyle of Prayer

Pastor Matthew shared an acrostic, PRAISE, that has helped him develop his prayer life. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 states, “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” Praise, repentance, advocacy, intercession, security, and engagement are words we can remember to develop a rhythm to prayer that reflects our Heavenly Father’s invitation to relationship with Him through the Son and by the Spirit. Praying without ceasing develops a sense of the Holy Spirit’s presence in the life of the believer.
