7 Principles for Leaving a Godly Legacy

Knowing that he was about to die at the hands of the Romans, the apostle Paul sent a final letter to his friend Timothy. Timothy and Paul had traveled together, ministered together, planted churches together, lived life together. As Paul was looking forward to heaven, he wanted Timothy to live the legacy he had received from Paul. Like Paul, Timothy would go on to live a legacy worth following. Like Paul, he wanted to live in such a way that those who followed would know, love and serve Jesus. In 2 Timothy 2, we see the pattern that has developed of entrusting faithful men and women with the faith you have received that more and more might know Jesus. Today’s study reminds us that living a legacy we want to leave is the best way to live.
