In the “second year of King Nebuchadnezzar’s reign,” the king has a troubling dream for which he desperately wants an interpretation. Nebuchadnezzar demands his wise men, astrologers, magicians, sorcerers, and aristocrats to not only interpret his bizarre and troubling dream, he demands his wise men to tell him what he dreamt as well as the interpretation. Failure to interpret the king’s dream means a horrible, brutal death for all the wise men. When soldiers come to kill Daniel and his 3 friends, Daniel seeks permission from the king to seek an interpretation from God. Daniel and his 3 friends, Mishael, Hananiah and Azariah pray and request mercy from God to find out the mystery of the dream and its interpretation.
