This week’s One Thing: “Identify one thing in your life that is weighing heavily on you. Take it to God with humility, focus and confidence knowing that God is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine.”

After God’s Own Heart – A Story of David

This week we looked at 2 Samuel 12. In this passage, we learned that sin is always exposed, sin always has consequences, and sin always causes pain. These three truths are revealed for us in this passage as Nathan confronts David regarding his sin.

This week’s One Thing: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. – 1 John 1:9”

After God’s Own Heart – A Story of David

In 2 Samuel 9:1-13, we discover one of the greatest examples of living out the grace of God in all of scripture. We will witness King David extend tremendous kindness and unmerited favor to Mephibosheth, Jonathan’s son.

This week’s One Thing: First, identify your Mephibosheth (the person God brought to your mind to extend grace too). Secondly, write their name on a piece of paper and keep it in your bible as a reminder. Third, make a deliberate effort to extend grace.
