The goal of our Core Classes, formerly known as Adult Bible Fellowships, is to offer learning opportunities that help you live out our mission with the head (your convictions), the heart (your character), and the hands (your competency). We offer Core Classes each fall, winter/spring, and summer to aid in your spiritual growth.

Art of Parenting
September 15 – November 3, Room C
FamilyLife has produced a new small group series called the Art of Parenting. This 8-session, video-based study is designed to not only help parents find new ways to integrate faith into everyday parenting moments, but also to create an environment where moms and dads can shoulder burdens together, celebrate breakthroughs, and relate to one another’s day to day parenting journey. Journey through the Bible
Beginning September 8 – Room D
A systematic book-by-book study of the Bible. Explore the message and meaning of each book and discover its relevance for our faith and life. Beginning in Genesis we study one book each week as we journey through the entire Bible. This class is taught by Dr. Ken Hanna. There is no cost for this class.

Friends
Beginning September 15 – Room A
This class is focused on sharing the love of Jesus Christ with adults who have developmental disabilities so all may have a relationship with Jesus and understand the grace God gives to all who trust in Him.

Living Free Insight Group
September 22-November 10, Room E
Bethel Church in partnership with Jail Chaplains will be offering a 9 week Living Free Community Insight Group. With its emphasis on developing Christian character it is a powerful group for those who want to prevent life-controlling problems from developing in their lives, as well as for those who need to overcome a current problem. The study is centered around 2 Peter 1:5-7 that focuses on the 8 qualities God wants to build into our lives.

Facing Fear, Finding Faith
September 22-November 24, Room E
Fear worry and anxiety are hallmarks of the human experience yet your loving father longs for us to be filled with peace. Facing Fear, Finding Faith is a 10-week study which  includes guidance in the use of scripture to build faith, biblical coping methods for facing fear and anxiety, comfort for those facing fear and anxiety and to help minister to those who are being controlled or held by back by anxiety, fear and worry.

Concerned Persons Group
September 24-November 26, Room E
This study is designed for people who have a current or past relationship with a person who has a life-controlling problem. The manual for this group will encourage participants to focus on Christ rather than the behavior of their loved one. In attempt to “help” their loved one might there be some enabling taking place? This group will go to the Bible for direction on how to take care of yourself by focusing on Christ.

Financial Peace University
Beginning September 18, Room B

Financial Peace University (FPU) is a 9-week class on money taught by America’s most trusted financial guru, Dave Ramsey. Dave and his teaching team will walk you through the basics of budgeting, dumping debt, planning for the future, and much more! Applying God’s Word radically changes your life. On average, FPU graduates have paid off over $5,300 in debt and saved $2,700 during the 63-day program!  A Financial Peace University Kit is needed for this class. The cost is $109.
