New Name, Same Mission
The goal of our Core Classes, formerly known as Adult Bible Fellowships, is to offer learning opportunities that help you live out our mission with the head (your convictions), the heart (your character), and the hands (your competency). We offer Core Classes each fall, winter/spring, and summer to aid in your spiritual growth.

Strange New World
Sunday mornings, 9 a.m., January 8-April 2 in Room E
led by Pastor Craig Johnson and Paul Smith
Our world is changing at a lightning pace, especially in the areas of identity and sexuality. Carl Trueman’s Strange New World will help you to think critically about these changes. Offering a much-needed biblical perspective on personhood, Trueman shows readers how to engage in a culture that’s often hostile to Christian beliefs. We invite you to this video and book study, which is accessible as well as challenging, designed to assist participants in studying and applying Scripture’s teaching on identity and ultimate meaning to their everyday lives. Limited copies of the book and study guide are available in the office for $15 for the set.
Sunday mornings, January 15-February 5, 9 a.m. in Room C
Led by Jeff Nelson
Christianity Explored gives you time and space to consider the big questions of life and to explore the life of the person at the heart of the Christian faith – Jesus Christ. This 8-session class (done in 4 weeks) will take men and women on a journey through the gospel of Mark to discover who Jesus is, why He came and what it means to follow Him. Come experience the person of Jesus! This is also part of our pathway to becoming a voting member of Bethel Church.
Friends (Special Needs Class for Adults)
Sundays, 10:45 a.m.-11:30 a.m. beginning Sunday, October 2 in Room A
Led by Brenda Hansen, Randy Finley, and Ramona Burchill
Our Friends class is a Bible study for adults with developmental disabilities. Lessons are ability-appropriate and use the intellect of the individual as well as music and crafts to encourage the understanding of Bible stories, helping others, prayer, and Jesus Christ. We believe regardless of disability God has equipped all his people to know Him in a personal way.
