New Name, Same Mission

The goal of our Core Classes, formerly known as Adult Bible Fellowships, is to offer learning opportunities that help you live out our mission with the head (your convictions), the heart (your character), and the hands (your competency). We offer Core Classes each fall, winter/spring, and summer to aid in your spiritual growth.

Summer 2018

Sundays at 9:00 a.m.

Spiritual Gifts Class – June 3, 10, & 17

Led by Pastor Jonas Bundy, Room C
Have you ever heard people talk about spiritual gifts and wonder what they’re talking about? Here’s your chance to find out. The instructor will lead you through a 3 week class on learning your spiritual gifts, what they mean for you, and how you might use them. Please pre-register online.

Summer Psalms – June 3 through August 19

Led by a variety of teachers, Room E
The book of Psalms is often the first place we turn to in God’s Word. The 150 chapters help us relate honestly with God, they guide us in worship, and they lead us in reflection and meditation on what God has done for us. Through this summer series we will look at selected Psalms each week and consider the original context, how the Psalm points us to Jesus, and how we can live differently as a result. Join us for this encouraging study! Class will not meet July 1 or August 5.

Faithful Followers: Summer Bible Study for Students 7th – 12th grades

June 3 through July 25

Led by Carl Johnson, Room B
Join Carl Johnson and dive into Paul’s letter to the Philippians for encouragement and instruction on how to live our lives as faithful followers of Christ in a hostile world. All students from 7th to 12th grade are welcome! Class will not meet July 1.

Spring 2018

Sunday morning classes started on January 14 unless stated otherwise.

Sundays at 9:00 a.m.

Led by Dr. Ken Hanna, Room E
The book of Proverbs enables one to acquire skills for living wisely in a world where choices are many, values are obscured, and consequences are ignored. Join us in the new-year for a practical, life related study of Proverbs. We will explore the book of Proverbs thematically, looking at topics like, wealth and poverty, family and friends, honesty and integrity, the power (and problem) of the tongue, sex, springs and cisterns, to name a few.
