The goal of our Core Classes, formerly known as Adult Bible Fellowships, is to offer learning opportunities that help you live out our mission with the head (your convictions), the heart (your character), and the hands (your competency). We offer Core Classes each fall, winter/spring, and summer to aid in your spiritual growth.

Fall 2022


Sunday Mornings, 9 a.m. beginning September 11 in Room B
Led by Barry Gish
We will be studying the book of Ephesians, using the Rafiki Bible Study (RBS), written by various theologians and edited by Rafiki president Rosemary Jensen and theologian David F. Wells.  Each week’s study will be supported by printed notes with questions for discussion to help you understand Paul’s letter to the Church at Ephesus and how to apply these truths to your everyday personal lives. The cost of materials is $12/person. Join Barry Gish, who previously taught BSF here in Fargo, in studying this wonderful letter!

Finding Freedom: Romans

Sunday mornings, 9 a.m. beginning September 11 in Room E

“Finding Freedom” is an adventure through the book of Romans which focuses on a believer’s growing relationship with God.  Our journey will look at the deepest longings of our heart:  a desire to be free from our past failures and guilt, an understanding of what forgiveness involves, the freedom from the fear of death, and the joy of walking in God’s presence and in community with His people. Join us in this Core Class in Romans and grow in a deeper dedication to Jesus as Lord.

Godly Parenting

Sunday mornings starting September 11 at 9 a.m. in the Prayer Chapel
Led by Living Free Instructors
Godly Parenting addresses parenting skills from the time of conception until the child has reached adulthood. It suggests methods for raising healthy, godly children in an increasingly secular society. Specific emphasis is placed on communication and teaching skills, discipline, protection, and sexual issues at each age. Contact Eric Johnson at for more information. The cost of materials is $15.

Friends (Special Needs Class for Adults)

Sundays, 10:45 a.m.-11:30 a.m. beginning Sunday, October 2 in Room A
Led by Brenda Hansen, Randy Finley,
and Ramona Burchill
Our Friends class is a Bible study for adults with developmental disabilities. Lessons are ability-appropriate and use the intellect of the individual as well as music and crafts to encourage the understanding of Bible stories, helping others, prayer, and Jesus Christ. We believe regardless of disability God has equipped all his people to know Him in a personal way.

Charting Your Legacy: Financial Planning God’s Way

Wednesday nights, 6:30 p.m.-7:45 p.m., September 14-October 26 in Room 202
Led by Teri Verduyn
Join us in this 7-week course in which you will learn God’s perspective on finances, possessions and our stewardship of the resources that God has given us. Through the course workbook, you will learn from Scripture God’s plan for you and your finances, and how it can be used for God’s glory. This class will be limited in number.  Cost of book is $45. Committed Couples

Wednesdays September 14-December 14, 6:30 p.m.-7:45 p.m. in Room E
Led by Eric Johnson
Committed Couples is for married couples or engaged-to-be-married couples who are committed to God’s plan for marriage and family relationships. The various aspects of God’s design for marriage and the principles that support this sacred institution are highlighted. Contact Eric Johnson at for more information. Cost of materials is $15.
