Please pray for our dear friend and small group member, Peg Tweten (she knows I’m posting this).

Peg had pancreatic cancer 5 years ago and had a portion of her pancreas removed at that time. She has been feeling very tired recently and not quite right. She recently found out that there is a mass in the head of the pancreas that is pushing on the liver and causing the liver to malfunction. A stent to relieve pressure on the liver was attempted, but failed. This is very serious, as one can’t continue to function with a non-functioning liver. With all that is going on in her body, Peg has also developed insulin dependent diabetes, so has a big learning curve there.

Peg and Jeff will meet with a surgeon at Sanford Monday at 11am to discuss the possibility of him performing a wipple procedure to remove the remaining part of the pancreas, etc... and if needed will get a second opinion this week at the U of MN. The surgery will need to happen very soon due to the impact the mass is having on the liver.

Please pray for total healing, for guidance for the doctors and peace of mind for Peg, Jeff and their family in the next days.

Love you Peg!
