Project Serve at Bethel Church is our expression of Christ’s love in action. It encompasses every opportunity we have to serve the people of our community—both in planned outreach efforts and in everyday acts of kindness. Our passion is to magnify the name of Jesus by meeting real needs, loving people where they are, and demonstrating the heart of the Gospel through humble service. Through Project Serve, we seek to build relationships, reflect the compassion of Christ, and reach our community by showing them they are seen, valued, and deeply loved.
Why Join Project Serve?
Project Serve is an opportunity for students to develop positive leadership skills through serving our community. There are two ways to join us in this:
- Join us as a family in these projects for our community (see some of our past projects below).
- Donate toward both our projects and our students, helping to support these projects and provide funds needed for students to participate in intensive character building opportunities. These include our District Student Weekend, service opportunities, and other trips (see examples of these opportunities below).
Serving with Habitat for Humanity
High School Students worked with Habitat for Humanity during the Christmas season in 2025, to make fleece tie-blankets for two different families.

Serving with Down Home
Last summer (2025), our students worked with Down Home to furnish a house, making it into a home for a local family.

Fall Retreat
Every year, Bethel students go to Fall Retreat, where they study the Bible, spend time growing in community and exploring what faith in Christ looks like. This opportunity is one of our most important, as it is a stepping stone into the rest of the year.

District Student Weekend
Each Spring, our students attend Districts Student Weekend (DSW) along with youth groups from all across the Northern Plains District of the EFCA. Together, they worship, do community outreach, learn about God, and grow as the collective church!
