Life’s inconveniences, disappointments, and trials can leave us confused, cynical, and eventually bitter. But the apostle Paul traces out the path of dying and rising with Jesus – what Paul Miller calls the “J-Curve” – as the normal Christian life. The J-Curve grounds our journeys not in some abstract idea but in union with Christ and his work of love. Understanding our lives in light of the J-Curve roots our hope, centers our love, and tethers our faith in Christ. Join us, beginning Sunday, April 7 at 9 AM, in this Core Class as we grow in living out the gospel in our suffering in Christ. Books are available for purchase for $20. Proverbs: Wisdom for the Ambitious. How do we have godly success in this life? The wisdom of the book of Proverbs in many ways helps us toward that end. Join us in the months of June and July for this eight-week Core Class on the book of Proverbs. We will meet Sundays, 9–9:45am in Room E.
