2 Peter was written around 65 AD and physical persecution had broken out against Christians. Peter knows that the end of his earthly life is near as he pens a letter to encourage believers to look beyond their circumstances to the coming Day of the Lord. This study will strengthen the believers faith in light of the end times.

From the ancient songs of Scripture to the hymns of church history and today, the music of God’s people has provided a common expression of praise, worship and thanks. In this class we will look at some of the great hymns and songs which have helped shape, inspire and encourage generations of Christians, and the stories of what inspired the men and women who wrote these songs. Through gaining deeper insights and appreciation for the songs and hymns we sing; we hope to learn to worship and adore him all the more to the glory of his name.

“Apart from the Psalms, no other voice from the Old Testament echoes so strongly throughout the pages of the New Testament” as the book of Isaiah. The meaning of Isaiah’s name summarizes his message: The Lord saves. As Isaiah alternates between judgment and hope, his prophecy teaches us to look forward to the day when “the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken” (Isaiah 40:5).

Sharing Jesus’ Love With Adults With Special Needs

Friends class is a Bible study for adults with developmental disabilities. Lessons are ability-appropriate and use the intellect of the individual as well as music and crafts to encourage the understanding of Bible stories, helping others, prayer, and Jesus Christ.
