1 Peter
1 Peter

Sundays, 9 AM, Room C
September 13 – October 25
Led by Scott Laughlin & Luke Kenner

1 Peter was written to believers in Turkey around 63 AD.  These Christ followers were experiencing push back from the culture around them, from being accused of starting riots to slandering government officials.  Peter writes to encourage these believers to stay strong and look to Jesus for their hope.  This study will focus on growing our faith in an increasingly hostile society.

Living Faithfully in a Changing Culture
Living Faithfully in a Changing Culture

Sundays, 9 AM, Room D
September 13 – October 25
Led by Paul Smith & David Hjelle

From Joseph in Egypt to Daniel in Babylon, Christians have always lived as faithful exiles in cultures that were both beautiful and broken. This class is about being more effective ambassadors of His kingdom who faithfully represent Christ within our culture. Together we will explore and discuss contemporary issues through the biblical story of creation, fall, redemption, and restoration. Along the way, we will celebrate examples of God’s ongoing work in the world and consider how we as individuals and the local body can participate in His redemptive purposes until Christ returns

Isaiah
Isaiah

Sundays, 9 AM, Room E
September 13 – October 25
Led by Neil Dyer and Pastor Craig Johnson

“Apart from the Psalms, no other voice from the Old Testament echoes so strongly throughout the pages of the New Testament” as the book of Isaiah. The meaning of Isaiah’s name summarizes his message: The Lord saves. As Isaiah alternates between judgment and hope, his prophecy teaches us to look forward to the day when “the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken” (Isaiah 40:5).
