Encore holds monthly special events to provide fellowship, community, discipleship, and recreation opportunities for senior adults, age 65+. We enjoy destination events and overnight stays, providing opportunities to enjoy closer fellowship. We encourage you to become part of what is happening in the Encore Senior Adult Ministry at Bethel!

Wednesday, July 20, 8 a.m. – 7 p.m., Day Trip
We are so ready for a return to Encore travel and we start up again with a fun-filled day trip! We travel in a wheelchair accessible charter bus to the beautiful Itasca State Park—Headwaters of the Mississippi River. We’ll journey on to Dorset, MN for lunch and finally to Jasper’s Theater for Twist & Shout – featuring singers of the 60’s along with Comedienne Auntie Kreamsaugen. Cost is $50 [lunch is not included]

Tuesday, August 9, 12 p.m., Trollwood Main Shelter
Invite your friends and join us for a noon potluck lunch picnic in the park! If you are able, please bring a side dish or dessert to share. Beef hotdogs and beverages will be provided. Parking, shelter, and restrooms are very convenient. Trollwood Park: 3664 Elm Street N, Fargo

Young at Heart Seniors Ministry, composed of EFCA senior adults from the Twin Cities area, joined us at Bethel for a time of dinner, fellowship, and music with our very own Encore group!
We hosted a Movie event with Popcorn and snacks!
Teri Verduyn provided information to help protect you from being scammed out of your money.
Connie led a sing-a-long and testimony was given by one of our Encore members.
The NDSU Cheer Team under the direction of Head Coach, Verona Winkler did a cheer demonstration and Dr. Dale Herman shared about his life as he grew up, went to college, graduate school, and his career at SDSU & NDSU involving 48 years as a researcher and professor.
We had a fun afternoon of games and fellowship.
Greg Hager performed a Christmas concert.
Tim Vreeman shared his testimony in military service and led our Veterans Day Celebration.
Deb Kaul from Memory Cafe of the Red River Valley shared information about this nonprofit organization founded by herself and Beth Ustanko.
The Fladlands with Loy Larson helped us kick off the year with a gospel bluegrass concert and we had a potluck.
We had an afternoon picnic in the park!
We watched the movie Overcomer together and enjoyed refreshments and friendships.
Testimonies were shared and there was a time of prayer, fellowship, Bingo and fun prizes!
Encore kicked off the 2020-2021 year with a Fellowship Concert featuring Beyond Blue.
Tracy Alin shared her testimony and passion for serving others through Amistad Worldwide, which is a non-profit charitable organization based in ND.
Thomas & Katie Webster shared their testimony and passion for serving others and celebrated Veterans Day.
