Bethel Kids – Birth to 6th Grade

Our Dream

Here at Bethel Kids, our dream is that children will be changed through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Our Purpose

We strive to partner with families to make disciples by helping children begin a personal relationship with God, teaching them what it means to be a member of God’s family, and guiding them to influence the world for Christ.

Our Work

All we do is guided by our ministry values, which demand that we be truth-centered, relationally focused, family-oriented, child-friendly, volunteer-driven, outward-directed, safe, and secure.

No Summer Sunday School on July 3rd due to the July 4th Holiday.

Sundaes on Sunday, July 17

Join us in the Gym right after the 10 a.m. service for Ice Cream Treats! This is a great time to get to know and connect with other families at Bethel.

**Preschool Sunday School (Infants-4/5 year olds) at 10 a.m. will start June 5th. We will resume K-6th grade Sunday School after Labor Day!**

New to Bethel Kids?

Sunday Mornings in Bethel Kids

Please plan to arrive 15 to 20 minutes before the service starts. When you arrive, look for the Kids Welcome Desk. Register with us so we can get to know you and your children, and we’ll help you find the right classroom.

After you are registered, you and your child will be given matching security tags that are unique to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the nametag portion which bears a code that is matched to your portion of the nametag. When you return to your child’s classroom you will need to show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.

If your child needs you during the service, we’ll contact you by sending you a text. Please have your phone on vibrate and be aware of your messages during service.

Bethel Kids Summer Sunday School Begins June 5 at 10 a.m.

Early Childhood (Newborns-4/5 year olds)

Sunday School is available for Infants through 4/5 Year Olds. They meet in our Children’s Wing each Sunday at 10 a.m. Teaching the message of God’s love, the significance of each child, and God’s purpose for each life is crucial to preparing boys and girls to someday begin their relationship with Christ. (with some exceptions for holidays – see below).

Please note: We will promote preschoolers to the next aged group in September and our policy is to place children in classes by age.

Elementary Sunday School

Kindergarten-6th Grade WILL NOT be meeting during the summer.   Please enjoy the Worship Service as a family and stop by the Worship Center doors for Praise Packs (activity bags) for your kids.

Incoming 7th Grade Students

Preteens entering 7th Grade this Fall are invited to join Bethel Students Wednesday nights (The Fire) from 7 p.m.-10 p.m. at Bethel for snacks, games, fellowship, and a testimony.  We love having students volunteer at 10 a.m. Sunday School!  Contact if you’d like to join the Bethel Kids team.

Summer Holidays

There will be NO Sunday School classes for Preschoolers on the following dates:

  • July 3
  • August 7
  • September 4

Parent Handbook

Want to know more details about Bethel Kids? Check out our Parent Handbook here.

image-ar-awana-logo-0-0-173-76Awana is a scripture memorization and Bible learning ministry that will mold and shape your child through the limitless power of God’s Word. Awana leaders, together with parents, create a spiritually nurturing environment to encourage kids to grow in the knowledge of Scripture and their walk of faith. Awana meets on Wednesdays during the school year from 6:25-7:50 p.m.

Awana is for kids in Kindergarten through 6th Grade. Cubbies Program is available for 3 & 4 year olds. We have lots of more detailed information available for our club on our AWANA page or you can find out more about the AWANA organization at

Registration will begin in late August 2022.

Fees are $30 per child (includes dues and one handbook per year). Uniforms and book bags can be picked up at the Kids’ Welcome Desk on your first night of Awana.

During the school year, you can sign up and pay at the Kids’ Welcome Desk on Wednesday evenings before Awana starts for the night.

Join our Volunteer Team!

We need over 100 volunteers to help Awana run smoothly each week. A great way to invest in your children, meet new people, and have a lot of fun! Volunteer positions are available for nursery, preschoolers, and elementary kids. Students in 7th grade or older are welcome to join our team as well!

Here are some of the steps we take to ensure the safety of each child:

  • Classrooms are free of clutter and have clean and age-appropriate toys.
  • A minimum of two screened volunteers are in each classroom.
  • Two additional staff members are available to provide extra help when needed.
  • Background checks are completed on all staff working with children.
  • We will utilizing texting parents if their child is in need of their attention.
  • A health policy is in place to protect the health of all children present.

We will be taking a break from Elementary Sunday School content for the Summer. Stay tuned for Bethel Kids @ Home content coming after Labor Day!

Studies indicate that only around 10% of Christians talk about their faith with their families outside of the church.  At Bethel, we recognize that God designed the family to be the primary place of spiritual development.  To help our members become more intentional in developing their faith at home, we offer HomePointe resources designed to make faith development easily accessible and easily implemented at home. These resources are also available at the HomePointe Center in the foyer located on the wall as you enter the Children’s Wing or the Gym.

God designed the home as the primary place to nurture Christian faith. Faith Path is a step-by-step process that provides resources to help you foster spiritual disciplines and prepare for key milestones along your child’s faith journey. Visit our HomePointe Center in the foyer for Faith Path resources OR visit for digital resources, explanation videos, and more content to help nurture your child’s faith at home.

We ask parents for their cooperation in helping to provide a healthy environment. We request that sick children be cared for at home. We publish these rules of thumb for the sake of all the children. Children are not ready to attend if they are not feeling well or if they have experienced any of the following symptoms in the last 24 hours:

  • Runny nose that is green or yellow
  • Fever
  • Flu symptoms
  • Diarrhea or vomit

What is Parent/Child Dedication?

Parent/Child Dedication is a commitment to raise your child in a Gospel-centered home while taking the lead role in your child’s discipleship. This dedication is not a statement of salvation for your child, but rather a statement of how you will raise your child.

While not a command of Scripture, parent/child dedication can be a beautiful symbol. It should be done with a community of believers who know you personally and can commit to walking with you in this commitment. This is why we, at Bethel participate with you. As you acknowledge your responsibility to raise your child(ren) in a Gospel-centered home taking an active role in your child’s discipleship, we as your church family, are making a similar commitment to you, the parent(s), to come alongside you and help you in this discipleship journey.

I want to Dedicate my child(ren).

Great! We are excited that you wish to dedicate your child to the Lord! We look forward to walking alongside you in your parenting journey! You’ll need to attend our 45-minute Parent/Child Dedication class, which is offered the Sunday before dedication dates. It’s a great way to get to know our staff, learn about dedication, and prepare for the ceremony. Your child(ren) are welcome to attend the class with you.

Children must be registered BEFORE attending the Child dedication class. This helps us know how many families to expect in the class.

Parents who have dedicated a previous child are NOT required to attend the Parent/Child Dedication class.

2022 Dates:
  • September 25, 2022 – Dedication class will be held on Sunday, September 18 @ 10:45 a.m. in Room 112
