I prayed for this

Prayed for 6 times.

Lauren Hutton

My husband Robert is a teacher, and I am a registered nurse. This time has been extremely hard for both of us because we have decided to forgo in-person services for the time being because of the delicate nature of our jobs and how we need to be their for our students and patients respectively. Thankfully, neither of us have gotten sick yet, but we are still taking all of the necessary precautions.

They have just made extra hours mandatory for us nurses, so I will be working a total of 36 hours extra over the next 5 weeks. This is already a very demanding job (was even before COVID-19), but these last months have brought added challenges. Thankfully, we get paid nicely for those extra hours, but I have been so tired lately and have not been used to picking up much. I ask for prayers for peace, confidence, and rest for me and my husband during this difficult time.

I also pray that more people will realize the gravity and seriousness of all this surrounding COVID-19 and take more precautions because of the strain it has put on us essential workers. My husband and I both are in professions that are service-oriented but are feeling the hardships of this time.

My husband Robert and I just got married in June in Texas with 11 people in attendance including us. We are blessed to finally be together here after so long of distance, but during this time it has been hard to make more connections up here. We are praying that God brings new friends into our lives and strengthens our current friendships that might have not had as much love into them because of social distancing and everything.
