STUDENT MINISTRY AT BETHEL CHURCH

Cultivating a community for students to love God, love others, and serve the world.

Starting September 10
Wednesdays, 6-8 PM, Room 120
(Use Northwest Gym Door)

Bethel Students, we are so excited to kick off our school year ministries! We meet to cultivate community and disciple-making. We want to help every teenager in our church understand how they can Love God, Love Others, and Serve the World. This is why we love spending time weekly with you! We start with a variety of activities, followed by Gospel-centered teaching. We encourage every teen to bring a Bible, notebook, and water bottle. Questions? Email students@bethelfc.com

Electronic check-in helps ensure student’s safety and our ability to contact you if necessary. Each student receives a printed name tag, and we have all parent information on hand.

Parents are encouraged to get to know the life group leaders and ask their students what they are learning and who they are getting to know. We understand how important parenting is and want to encourage you in any way we can as you raise your teens to love and obey Jesus.

High School Bible Study
Wednesdays, 8-9 PM
, Room 120, Bethel Fargo

Our Wednesday Night High School Bible Study is for those students who want to go deeper into Scripture, learning and growing in their knowledge of God, Scripture, the church, and what it means to live out the Christian life to magnify the name of Christ. We seek to study Scripture in a way that allows for us to embody 2 Timothy 3:16-17, being taught, rebuked, corrected, and trained in righteousness.

Bethel Students is grounded in gospel-centered teaching, as we seek to walk alongside parents in discipling their students. To help in that, we communicate each series we are teaching throughout the school year. Below, you will find a section for each of our eight series we will be going through in the 2025-2026 school year. If you have more questions on any series, please email students@bethelfc.com

In Bethel Students, our mission and vision are the same as the rest of our church. We want to be known for making disciples who love God passionately, love others intentionally, and serve the world sacrificially. But what exactly does it mean for us to Love God, Love Others, and Serve the World?

Throughout this three-week series, we will take some time to explore the basics of each of these so these themes can be found throughout all that we teach.

The Gospel, the good news of Jesus Christ, is central to all that we believe and teach in Bethel Students. No matter who you are, what you do, or what you believe about yourself, the gospel is for you.

This series is centered on following the thread to understand the main idea of everything God has ever done and will do. From creating man, to sending his son, and finally offering us a chance to respond to his love, it can all leads to the Gospel.

Discipleship is a lifelong process, one which starts from the moment you choose to declare Jesus as Lord.

In response to the Gospel, as disciples, we seek to follow God’s commands to love Him and to love others, building one another up. This series will explore how God gives all believers Spiritual Gifts for the purpose of being disciples, loving one another, and building up the church. By the end of this series, students will have an understanding of why we have spiritual gifts and will have an opportunity to explore specific spiritual gifts and see how they can use them to honor God.

To end off 2025, we plan to look at how the Gospel and being a disciple should ultimately lead us to two things, Missions and Service. Bethel Students seeks to partner with entire families to live out the great commission of going and making disciples, the ultimate goal of missions and serving.

We will spend this series exploring why we do missions (to the world) and service (to others), while also hearing from missionaries that Bethel partners with and testimonies from students who currently serve.

Listen and Respond

Have you ever found yourself not sure what to pray for, or wondering why we should pray? Bethel Students is a place where we push for prayer to be at the front and center of our lives.

When faced with the question of “is it even worth it to pray about this?” we want to respond with a resounding yes. This series will dive into the reasons that we pray, encourage students to analyze why they pray, and drive them to put prayer before anything else.

One of the most common things for a student to deal with is the idea of relationship. We plan to dive into things like marriage, purity, and more as we desire to have relationships of all kinds that are honoring to God. We put God at the center of all we do!

I have a question…

Students constantly have questions, whether they voice them or not. These can be about life, friendships, or God. When they are not voiced, they don’t get answered.

This series will push students to question why they believe what they believe, point them toward Christ, and answer some of their burning questions. By answering some key theological questions that we have encountered with students, we desire for students to walk away with a better understanding of their faith, being strengthened.

A Shield of Faith

After going over why we believe what we believe, we want our students to go out and defend their beliefs. Others will question their beliefs, so we want them to be ready to defend it faithfully.

By going through the idea of apologetics, we will equip our students to respond to those who speak against God, faith, and the church in a loving, truthful, and gracious manner.

One of the reasons we have Middle School and High School separate is to give our High School students an opportunity to serve with our Middle School students. We have a variety of ways for our students to do that. Part of our heart behind this rhythm is to make sure that our students are having the opportunity to disciple others before they graduate. We have them join alongside adult leaders to learn how to disciple others to love God, love others, and serve the world throughout their whole life.
