The Super Bowl of Sundays is upon us.

There are 100 million more people who watch the Super Bowl than a normal NFL game.

It is a cultural phenomenon. It is estimated that more than 125.6 million people watched this year’s Super Bowl in the U.S. alone. Crazy right? Why is that?

Maybe it is the excuse to get together with friends, the fear of missing out, or something else. Nonetheless, people often say yes to watching this game each year, when they otherwise wouldn’t even care.

The same is true for Easter Sunday church attendance. For whatever reason, there are many who will culturally attend church on Easter Sunday, when every other Sunday in a calendar year they say ‘no’.

The purpose of pointing this out is to encourage us all to see this coming Sunday as not just a celebration of the most pivotal moment in all of history, but also a tremendous opportunity to share the gospel! Colleagues, neighbors, and family members are more likely to say yes to this Sunday than any other Sunday in the year.

So…

Why not ask them? As we approach Easter Sunday, why not take that extra step of faith?

Our commitment to you for this Sunday is that the good news of the Gospel will be clearly taught. We, as your church leadership team, also aim to seize the opportunity as God brings people through the doors of this place.

Led by our Bethel Choir, Orchestra, Band, and Tech Teams, we hope that believers and unbelievers alike will celebrate the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus.

Soli Deo Gloria,

-Pastor Anthony
